Seven
By Rick Bronson
Written By David Acer
A multi-talented writer, comedian and television host, Rick Bronson is the go-to
guy, the consultant for, the confidant of some of Canada’s finest magicians! The
Tourist, a television series he created, hosted and co-wrote, is now a hit in 22
countries, and his recent national comedy special, Comedy Now Presents Rick
Bronson, was among the highest rated in Canadian history! This book, Rick’s
first, contains a choice selection of magic from his stand-up act, AND a handful
of close-up miracles from his apres-show repertoire!
• BIG TIME: The magician’s hand becomes an impromptu magnifying glass, enlarging
the print on a chosen card, and ultimately upsizing the entire deck!
• LIGHTER, THEN AIR: A borrowed lighter is used for a quick and funny gag, then
suddenly vanishes in a flash of fire!
• MISSING INK: A stack of blank business cards prints between your palms!
• NEEDLE THROUGH WHAT?: A family-friendly presentation of the Needle Through
Balloon goes horribly awry, resulting in the mutilation and (eventually)
restoration of the magician!
• RICKY BOTTLES: Rick’s closer for over ten years, and one of the best Tricky
Bottle routines EVER!
And so much more! Seven By Rick Bronson is the third installment in the
critically acclaimed Seven By series, an exciting, eclectic collection of stage
and close-up magic from the mind and repertoire of a world-class entertainer!
Written by David Acer, illustrated by Joey Incollingo.
Seven
By Patrik Kuffs
An insanely dynamic entertainer and innovator, Patrik Kuffs has made smash-hit
appearances at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, the International
Battle of Magicians in Atlanta, and on such varied television shows as Popular
Mechanics For Kids, Ad Lib and Urban Magic, with David Acer and Richard Sanders.
This book, his first, contains seven eye-popping showpieces for stage and
close-up, each one ingenious, engaging and astonishing enough to steal a show!
• Under The Table: A card is folded and placed under the leg of a wobbly table
to steady it at the beginning of a show. Later, a card is chosen in the context
of another routine, then promptly vanishes. Impossibly, a spectator retrieves
the card under the table-leg and unfolds it, showing it to be his selection!
• Invisible Touch: A spectator secretly marks one finger on a drawing of a hand.
A second spectator is asked to extend his hand, when suddenly, he feels
something touching a finger, though there is nothing near it! The finger, of
course, is the same one secretly marked by the other spectator!
• French Lint: A clean lint roller is used to collect DNA left behind by a
chosen card, only to result in the name of the card mysteriously forming in lint
on the roller!
• Temporal Anomaly: Two watches are borrowed from the audience, then both are
set randomly by two different people. When the two times are revealed, THEY
MATCH!
And so much more! Seven By Patrik Kuffs is an inspired collection of close-up,
stage and mental miracles, rich in their simplicity, remarkable in their effect!
Written by David Acer, illustrated by Joey Incollingo. Number Two in the
critically acclaimed Seven By Series.
“... novel, commercial plots, and very clever stuff. This little booklet is
terrific.” David Regal, Genii Magazine (April, 2004)
Seven
By Michel Huot
Written By David Acer
A regular invitee at Fechter’s Finger Flicking Frolic, and a frequent guest on
David Acer’s MagicWorks shows in Montreal, Michel Huot is one of the industry’s
best kept secrets. His material has appeared in Genii, Magic and Natural
Selections, Vol. II, but this is his first solo collection, and it contains
simple riches the likes of which are rarely seen!
• Ultimate Aces: A strikingly visual change of four indifferent cards into four
Aces using an astonishing new sleight!
• Don’t Follow The Leader: The movement of two spectators becomes completely
sympathetic with the movement of their cards... but who’s controlling who?
• Acid Trip: Your coffee engages in a blistering battle with your spoon,
resulting in an impossible transfiguration!
• Signed Quarter in Balloon: A signed quarter is tossed into the air by a
spectator, but when it hits an inflated balloon, instead of bouncing off it, it
drops inside! The quarter then rolls around in the balloon, whereupon the
magician suddenly grabs it through the latex and tugs it back out, leaving the
balloon intact!
And more! Seven By Michel Huot is the first in a new series featuring exciting
close-up miracles from innovative magicians working on the front lines! Written
by David Acer, with a foreword by Richard Sanders.
“Acid Trip is a table stunt that all who witness will remember, perhaps for the
rest of their lives.”
David Regal (Genii Magazine)
“I like 7 by Michel Huot… Acer’s writing always makes me laugh, and the price is
more than reasonable. I look forward to other booklets in the series." Michael
Close, MAGIC
“The material is widely varied but all extremely original in plot and
execution... I can't imagine anyone being dissatisfied with the asking price for
this book if Signed Quarter in Balloon was the only effect in it.”
Jim Sisti (allmagicguide.com)
“Great stuff! I have been performing Don't Follow The Leader every night since I
read it. I'm also going to purchase another cell phone just so I can do Cellular
Fun whenever I want!”
