You begin by telling the true story about Toronto's notorious bank robber Edwin Alonzo Boyd. In 1951 Boyd robbed a record breaking 11 banks before he was caught by the authorities and held downtown in the Don Jail. Unwrapping a series of folded papers you reveal an old black and white photograph of Boyd behind bars that your audience can fully examine. You wrap the photo inside the papers placing them in the centre of the table or laid across the open palms of a spectator. Then you describe in detail the riveting tale about Boyd's jail break and how he escaped by eluding the gaurds and conquering the city's toughest prison. You then slowly unwrap the papers disclosing the photograph that is now permanently altered. The face and body of Edwin Alonzo Boyd has been ripped right out of the photograph leaving a gaping hole the audience can see through. Underneath the photograph lies the only evidence of Boyd's daring escape. A broken hacksaw blade that has suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

You now remove the metal key tag from the chain and draw attention to the hole running through it. You place the tag into the spectator’s other hand.

You then explain that you’re going to make “nothing” move from one location to another. You have the spectator tap her two fists together and ask, “What did you feel move?” The spectator says, “Nothing.” You say, “Perfect!” The spectator opens the hand with the tag and the hole that was once there, is now gone! The “nothing” has vanished! Stranger still, when the spectator opens her other hand she discovers that “nothing” really has moved! She finds not one, but TWO holes in the key she has been holding the entire time!

The key is never switched and your hands are completely empty at the end. It practically works itself! Complete with custom made key tag and key.
