Die-tective

A quality variation of a classic pocket trick. This version has been designed to not only look like a professional item, but to work extremely well. We hope Die-tective will become one of your favorite pocket tricks.

Effect: A brass box, lid and die are examined. A spectator places the die in the box any way he or she chooses, remembers the number on top, then covers with the lid. The performer turns around and picks up the box, commenting on the impossibility of seeing through brass. The box is placed in the spectator’s hand, then the performer concentrates, and names the number selected by the spectator. Also included are alternate presentations, and a set of six different colored beads, for a “color” detection routine. The effect can be repeated immediately as there is no reset!

VERNET THREE SHELL GAME

The VERNET 3 SHELL GAME is for the magician who appreciates the finest in professional apparatus. The "shells" are all made perfectly alike from a rugged plastic material called “polietilino” (they look like real walnut shells). They are subtly curved at the rear to facilitate the “steal”.

Two poker chips are shown one BLACK and one WHITE. One poker chip is held in each hand, the black one is in your left hand and the white one is in your right hand. Your open your hands and the poker chips have changed places! The white one is in the left hand and the black one is in the right hand.

You close your hands and they change places again. Your audience is quick to catch on that they must be black on one side and white on the other side.

NOW THE MAGIC BEGINS ... the poker chip that was black on one side is now BLUE, the poker chip that was white is now yellow, when you turn over the BLUE poker chip the other side is RED and when you turn over the YELLOW poker chip the other side is GREEN. There is NO BLACK AND WHITE. Everything can be examined and it’s easy to do!

Haunted Key

EFFECT: An ornate antique key, similar to those used in wine cellar cabinets is held at the fingertips of the right hand. The left hand approaches and, with just the aid of one finger, causes the ‘bit’ to turn 90 degrees, then 180 degrees. Finally turning a full 360 degrees! Next the ‘bit’ is slowly and visibly moved down the shaft, toward the bow of the key!

Again, this is all done in full view. Once the ‘bit’ reaches the bow, the key is dropped into the waiting hands of a spectator for complete examination.
