Silly
Billy’s Magic Party Picture
Turn any child in your audience into a magical artist! Show a
simple black and white drawing of a room ready for a birthday party—EXCEPT
there are no balloons, no decorations, no presents, and the cake has no
candles!
A volunteer writes his name across the cake, draws candles on the cake (the
number of his age), and writes his age on a party hat, with different colored
crayons of his choice.
Then
the performer asks the child to hold the picture while
everyone says the magic words. When the picture is turned around, balloons,
presents, and decorations have appeared in full color—all on the child’s
drawing with his name and handwriting! The child keeps the magic drawing as a
souvenir of the show! PURE MAGIC!—NO SKILL REQUIRED!—RESETS INSTANTLY!—LOT’S
OF FUN!
SUPER
FROG!™
Slide a picture
of SUPER FROG wearing his bright red cape into an envelope and hand it to
a magic helper. A second magic helper holds an empty envelope. Say
the magic words and SUPER FROG will jump from one envelope to the other—or
will he? When the card is removed from the first envelope,
SUPER FROG is gone—a cut out area where he used to be is all that
remains.
Did he jump to the other envelope? When you turn it over, there’s no
frog, but a little red cloth cape tumbles out! “Wherever
he is, I know that SUPER FROG needs his cape!” You make the cape
disappear, and the frog—wearing his cape—appears on the second helper’s
back! Kids roar, adults laugh, SUPER FROG is a
hero, and you’re a super hero!
HOWZZAT
THE MAGIC CLOWN
This is one of the best card
in balloon ideas to come along in a long time! Show a
very colorful wooden cutout of Howzzat The Clown. He stands about 18
inches tall and is silk screened in a zillion bright colors. In Howzzat’s
left hand is a top hat. In his right hand is nothing—for the moment. From a
shuffled packet of cards, have a spectator select one card. Have the spectator
sign the card. If you are working for very young children you can use Alphabet
Cards or Picture Cards. Have the spectator replace the card in the pack, shuffle
the pack and place it inside Howzzat’s top hat.
Now, inflate a balloon
and attach it to Howzzat’s right hand. The fun begins! At your command, Howzzat tips to his right. The balloon bursts. And, the selected car
appears in his hand!! It looks wild! It’s as if he tossed the card from his
top hat into his other hand totally visual. Howzzat is mechanical and
self-contained; He packs down flat, yet plays so big! You will have a blast with
this one!
