Undergroundgaff's process is
lengthy, but well worth the outcome.
Each card is Handmade. Dry mount is used in all gaffs. We
believe that besides a gaff looking great, it must feel great as
well. Plainly put, or cards look amazing. The snap of the card feels
like an un-gaffed card, and can be handed out if need be.
The shim stock used is .0015 and is cut to fit inside the face
card box. We start by dry splitting the card and then iron out any
creases made by using this method. We then sand all of the backs
using three different grits to make the back as smooth as possible.
We then do a little something to the card to give it that
unbelievable feeling at the end and press the stock for 24 hours,
then all gaffs are then hand trimmed and a corner rounder is used to
ensure an unbelievable looking gaff. And then the cards are pressed
for another 12 hours. After this process, each card is lightly
waxed. |
